IBS NDT&A can provide both non-destructive magnetic particle testing and computational finite element analysis (FEA) of components.
Magnetic particle testing offers a means of testing ferrous metals for cracking that may not necessarily be spotted before failure occurs otherwise. The results of the test can either confirm the stability and longevity of the component, or it will indicate whether repairs or replacement is necessary. We are certified under the Australian Institute for Non-Destructive Testing (AINDT) as being able to provide a competent and complete service.
Our computational analysis of components can directly link in to IBS Centre of Engineering Innovation’s 3D CAD modelling system to test, modify and optimize components to conform to our customer’s specific requirements. These initiatives help to minimize component failures from the very start of the design process, therefore allowing us to produce higher quality products.
